You know how people say that the way you dress says something about you without even speaking? Well graphic tees are the literal interpretation of that saying. And I love it!
Do you like naps? Feminism? Harry Potter? Disney? Wine? Dogs? A combination of all of them? Say it with your graphic tee!
I have a pretty healthy graphic tee collection, and it keeps on growing. I just posted about styling a graphic tee for early fall, and you can bet I’ll keep wearing them every season.
Today I’m sharing with you all where I find affordable graphic tees.
Graphic Tees on Amazon
I buy everything on Amazon. Nightstands. Makeup. Books. So why not graphic tees?
There’s obviously a huge selection because it’s Amazon, and I can usually find a lot that are under $20, and even some under $10. I’m really happy with the softness and quality of my Frida tee, and as always with Amazon Prime you can return it if it’s not what you expected.
My suggestion for Amazon is to search for ‘graphic tees’ and then filter for ones with a high star rating and also add your price point. That will help reduce the amount of pages you go through to find good ones.
Graphic Tees at Target
My favorite Target graphic tee that I’ve ever seen said ‘Margaritas for the Señoritas.’ Unfortunately since it was in the clearance section the sizing was limited, but what a good one?! The ‘Avocado-Holic’ one above also speaks to me on a personal level, like many of the ones at Target.
P.S. Right now Target clearance apparel is an extra 20% off with the Cartwheel app, so if you find some graphic tees there be sure to use that!
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen a graphic tee at Target for over $25. Ever! Here are a few good picks in the widget below.
Graphic Tees at Forever 21
Sorry not sorry, but when I started looking at Forever 21’s graphic tees, I couldn’t help but showcase all of the girl power ones. They have so many and why would you want only one feminist top?!
My favorite one from Forever 21 that I’ve had in my closet for years says ‘RAWR’ in black seed beads. I generally size up in Forever 21 tees since they’re more of a juniors fit.
Graphic Tees at Old Navy
Old Navy makes great affordable basics like jeans, tops, dresses, and workout wear. They also ALWAYS have cute graphic tees. I just picked up this ‘Prosecco & Pizza’ one, and in the past I’ve had ones that say ‘Vote for Vino,’ ‘Espresso Then Prosecco’ and ‘Holy Guacamole.’
Old Navy always has sales and a healthy clearance section, so you really don’t have to pay much for a cute graphic tee.
Graphic Tees at WalMart
I’ve talked on the blog before about how I am so surprised by bloggers rocking WalMart style. Sometimes you wouldn’t believe the trendy things you can find there, including graphic tees!
I really like the ones in the widget below, and you can also usually find some state pride apparel as well. I have a hat from WalMart with the outline of Virginia and the word ‘home’ inside that I love, and they have state tees, too.
College Graphic Tees at American Eagle
American Eagle sometimes has band tees or vintage graphic tees, but what I really like is their Tailgate Collection. It’s their line of college apparel that is great because they have so many options that don’t look like something you got from the school bookstore. They have more of a retro feel to them and come in a lot of different styles: raglan tees, hoodies, tanks, you name it.
I linked up some Oklahoma University tees in the widget below since that’s where I got my graduate degree, but they have so many schools available online. Sometimes I think that American Eagle is just a touch too pricey for me, but if you get their Tailgate tees on sale it’s a good deal.
Graphic Tees at Kohl’s
Kohl’s always has the best Disney and Harry Potter graphic tees. I don’t consider myself a Potterhead, but I do love a good Disney princess tee. The Cinderella ‘Don’t Be Late’ one from the first photo in the post is from Kohl’s.
Just like with Forever 21, I usually size up in Kohl’s graphic tees from the juniors section. Sometimes the womens section has graphic tees, like the Lauren Conrad line, but who can say no to a Disney graphic tee?
I felt the need to write this post when I was shopping over Labor Day and I saw the regular prices of graphic tees at stores like J. Crew and Banana Republic. They were around $40! In my opinion that’s just too much to spend on a graphic tee, which may or may not be appropriate for your work, and is just a tshirt after all.
I ended up getting some with the great sales going on, but the stores on this list are more reliable for affordable options regardless of special sales.
What’s your favorite graphic tee?
