Last week was pretty weird – we had temperatures in the high 60s early in the week, and then a ‘baby bomb cyclone’ of snow on Wednesday, and now we’re warming up again. Spring, what the heck?! Regardless, I am loving getting to wear lighter spring pieces.
Monday
Jacket – similar // Tank – similar // Jeans // Shoes – similar // Barrette (part of a set)
What’s great about this spring weather is being able to wear a light jacket all day, like a blazer or this tweed piece. It’s not so cold that I need something heavier, and not so hot that I need to take it off. Perfect! Even though my office is casual a structured jacket makes me feel a bit more professional.
The hair clips I’ve been loving and wearing ever since I got them about 2 weeks ago! This pearl one was made to go with tweed, right?
Tuesday
Top – similar // Jeans (under $25) // Shoes – similar // Necklace – similar (under $25)
What are our thoughts on pajama style tops? I feel like this was one of those trends that came and went quickly! If this top wasn’t in leopard print, which is one of my faves, I probably would have already parted with it. But the print is too good! Honestly I don’t think people really look at this top and think of it as pajama inspired, but just a button down blouse, so maybe it can continue to work in my closet for a few more years?
Wednesday
Top – similar (under $25)// Jeans (under $25) // Shoes (under $25) // Barrettes (part of a set)
Do you guys remember when the Lauren Conrad line of clothing came out at Kohl’s? My sister and I loved it (and I actually still really like a lot of the stuff!). This top is part of that line, and I’ve had it for somewhere over 6 years now. And yes, I am wearing the hair clips again!
Thursday
So Thursday I worked from home due to the bomb cyclone…and I am not going to post on the internet for everyone to see how raggedy I looked that day! Ha!
But, I will tell you that I wore these leggings (under $30), which are the comfiest and coziest and I actually wear them almost every day when I get home from work! I hardly ever spend over $20 on lounge wear, but these are so worth it.
Friday
Top – similar (under $18) // Jeans (under $25) // Shoes – similar // Necklace – similar
Friday was a long day — I worked a half day and then we drove out to Nebraska for a wedding. I wore my usual casual outfit to work, changed to leggings for the drive, and then sat in the car for 8.5 hours. The good part is the wedding was beautiful (I forgot to take a picture of my dress!) and I had a great time seeing family. Well worth it!
Since I’m in town this weekend I’ll be heading to the thrift store on Saturday to see what I can find. If you want a sneek peak of some thrift store finds and what I end up taking home, follow me on Instagram and check out my stories!
