Another week, another outfit roundup. It was a pretty typical week for me, with some casual work looks, even more casual weekend looks (my new graphic sweatshirt is the best), and at least one look for a night out.
I’ve really been into layering some of my delicate necklaces lately. I think it’s a great way to take a pretty boring outfit and make it a little more interesting. I mean, a striped top, skinny jeans, and booties isn’t that exciting but with the jewelry and my attempt at a hair clip (more on that below) I think it looks better.
So here’s the deal with these hair clips I ordered. They have a lot of cute shapes and styles, but they’re so heavy. I know this chevron style one looks fine enough in the photo, but by the time I drove to work it had already slid down my head and practically out of my hair! I ended up returning these ones, and I can only recommend them if you have thick hair.
If you scroll down to Saturday you’ll see some other hair clips that ended up being keepers!
As if I didn’t spend enough on groceries at Costco, I also happen to love browsing through their clothes, too. This brown turtleneck is from there, and I love the color with the red flats! So glad I can start swapping booties out for patterned and colored flats.
Definitely my favorite outfit of the week! Anytime I can wear one of my new headbands I’m pretty happy. This top is old from Gap, but definitely one I’m going to hang onto for awhile. I always try to make sure I’m wearing older items from my closet as much as newer ones.
A lot of you guys on Instagram messaged me saying you loved this sweater! It’s actually from the ladies section at Kohl’s, and I couldn’t resist the pretty pink shade. And it’s very soft. When I’m not wearing it for work I like to also wear a gray beret with the pink sweater — so chic!
Friday – Work
The first time I went in Primark a few years ago my mind was blown. So much cute stuff and SO CHEAP! I got this long sleeve top with little Eiffel towers on it then. Based on Thursday and Friday’s outfits, I like wearing pink and black together…all the time.
Friday – Evening
On Friday night we went out for a birthday celebration at Fat Sully’s pizza and OMG was the food good! We got a 26 inch pizza and devoured almost all of it between 5 girls! The drinks were delicious as well. If you’re in Colorado Springs I highly recommend it.
As for the outfit, I got this top from Banana Republic a few years ago (before colorblocking was even becoming a thing again) and I absolutely love it. The colors are so bright, it’s got a nice weight to it, and it just looks very polished. But, unfortunately, I can’t find anything similar available online!
THE FETTUCINE ALFREDO SWEATSHIRT! I recently ordered a few things from American Eagle and this sweatshirt was an obvious keep. The clearance they having going on right now is really good, and you can see what else I ordered here from American Eagle for spring.
I also feel like it’s my duty to tell you that this sweatshirt also comes in ones that say Fresh Guac, Avocado Toast, and Tacos. You’re welcome.
Here are the hair clips I actually like! This set comes with some geometric metal ones like what I’m wearing here, some pearl ones, and some dressier bobby pins. They’re not too big, not too heavy, and the mix is perfect. Hair accessories are such an easy way to update your wardrobe and this set gives you lots of options. In fact, you’ll be seeing more of them over the next few posts!
I told you guys I’m doing coffee shop research in Colorado Springs, right? Well we had wonderful weather this weekend so I didn’t even need a jacket with my tee and jeans outfit for cafe visiting. These woven mules are some of my absolute favorites from last year and they have been restocked this year 🙂
Enjoy the rest of the week, everyone!
