Last week I was lucky enough to have my college room mate come visit me in here in Germany and we took a two day trip to Wurzburg. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s the capitol of the Franconia wine region and a total charm fest. Do you see the adorable flower-filled park I’m in? Just a palace garden. No big deal.
I have a travel post about our wine-filled shenanigans in the works, but for now I’ll just focus on the travel outfits.
I basically planned my whole travel wardrobe around this red coat. It’s lightweight and I wanted one with a hood in case of spring showers (good news…there were none!). I wore basic chambray, black skinnies, and black ankle boots for the first day of exploring.

The second day I wore my canvas sneakers and stretchy legging jeans for the long trek up to Marienberg Fortress behind me. The walk is amazing because you get a beautiful view of the city over the water and you also get to admire the hillside vineyard by the fortress.
This trip was only two days so I didn’t have to stress too much about packing, but I always consider it one of life’s little victories when you pack appropriately for the weather and activities of your trip without bringing more than one suitcase!
What do you like to wear when you travel?
