This warm weather means my love of midi skirts gets even more intense because I finally don’t have to wear them with tights! I could write a whole post about my love/hate relationship with tights, but that’s for a colder season. Right now I have to talk about this pretty Lark & Ro eyelet skirt.
I am of the very firm opinion that one can never have too many black skirts. They’re really a blank canvas for casual or dressier looks, and it’s usually not that difficult for me to convince myself to buy one. So when I was browsing Amazon I decided to go for two black skirts: this eyelet midi and this drapey pencil skirt (to be featured later).
This one has the perfect little amount of volume and even though it’s dark the eyelet pattern makes it feel summer-y. I wore this outfit to a food truck festival the other weekend and I’m going to be re-wearing it for work soon. I’ll tuck the chambray in and wear some pointed-toe flats to make it office appropriate (maybe some red ones?!).
One note about the Lark & Ro brand on Amazon: I’ve found that it’s best to put Lark & Ro items on your Wish List and wait for the price to go down. I bought this skirt for a tiny fraction of the normal price that way!
I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend! I was able to really crack down on my grad school papers, and I’m about 1/3 of the way done! Wahoo! Now I’m ready to take on this short work week 😉
