I already showed you guys all of my OOTDs from my trip to the US, and I mentioned how I bought A LOT of stuff from Target. Wayyy more than what I already posted! I also stopped into Old Navy and grabbed some really great stuff for spring and summer.
While everything is still in stock and available I thought I’d go ahead and do a roundup where I talk about fit and how I plan to style everything. Because what girl doesn’t need more from Target and Old Navy 😉
And even though Anthropologie isn’t really in the same category as Target and Old Navy, one item I purchased from there is on sale and still in stock, so that piece snuck it’s way into this post.
We’ll start with Old Navy first…
Old Navy
OTS Printed Blue Dress (Size: S)
Funny story…my first full day back in the US I went to a trendy restaurant where the hostess was wearing this dress. I saw it and thought, “Ooh I love that. Looks expensive, like Free People or something.” But little did I know that I would be seeing it at Old Navy a few days later! And of course, buying it.
The top and sleeves are a stretchy weave so you don’t get the whole armpit fat situation that some dresses give, and it’s lined so you can feel confident about getting the white printed style, too.
P.S. Shoes are available here and more details on them in the Target section further below.
Ruffle Trim Midi Dress (Size: S)
I’m a sucker for a pretty midi dress and Old Navy has a lot right now. The ruffle trim on the sleeves is such a great detail and they’re actually adjustable with three button holes. This dress looks great casually with flats but you can definitely swap those for wedges to be a little dressier.
Also available in solid pink and blue.
FYI This dress probably won’t work if you have a short torso since it has a lot of volume above the waist.
OTS Cutwork Top (Size: S)
What really drew me to this top is the gorgeous green color (I’ll be pairing it with some reddish-orange lipstick and white jeans!). And the fact that I want to wear OTS stuff all the time…can you tell by the amount of it in this post?
The cutwork is just that…cutwork that you can see through, so if you don’t want a little bit of skin showing through the higher parts of it then this top isn’t for you. But it’s not really revealing in my opinion.
Also available in white, cream, black, and yellow.
OTS Ruffle Top (Size: S) // Straight Raw Hem Jean (Size: 4)
This OTS top is a little more relaxed than the cutwork one, with more of a swing shape and longer hem (although I like it tucked in, too). You can actually pull the ruffle part up over your shoulders and wear it like a normal top, so it makes for a great day to night item.
The plain black makes it really easy to wear with some fun earrings (like the colorful tassel ones I got at Target) or with a printed hair scarf. I think I’m going to wear this top tucked into a high-waisted midi skirt, too.
And on the raw hem jeans…I still can’t decide if they’re keepers or not. Love the color and straight style, but just not sure on the fit. Hence why the tag is still on them.
Top also available in white, blue, lilac, and teal.
Target
Embroidered Strap Tank (Size: XS)
Look at Rascal sneaking into my selfie! He was wondering what I was doing during this whole time.
This embroidered tank is very flowy, and can kinda give off maternity vibes from the side. But I love it. The embroidery sits high under your arms so you don’t have that little ‘roll’ over the top of the tank, and the fabric is super breathable. I wore this last weekend to a spring fest in a nearby town.
Ruffle Sleeve Top (Size: S ) // Bow and Button Front Denim Skirt (Size: 2; on clearance!)
You’ve already seen this top from my vacation style post, but now I wanted to show this cute skirt. I’ve seen button front skirts everywhere recently and I love the extra bow detail.
I got the skirt in a 2, but would prefer the 4. I ended up going to three Targets to try and find it in a 4 but nowhere had it in stock! I’ll make this one work, but it is only $16.08 right now online so that’s an option.
Top also available in white.
Avocado-holic Graphic Tee (Size: S)
If this tee ain’t true for you then we can’t be friends. I’m not ashamed to say this is my second avocado-loving graphic tee, and probably won’t be the last.
Is it just me or does Target have an amazing selection of graphic tees? Lots of super soft and vintage-y feeling ones. Had I seen this dog mom one in store I would definitely have grabbed it.
Open Toe Sandals (Size: 8.5) // Sunglasses // Woven Mules (Size: 8) // Tassel Earrings
I kept gravitating towards the Universal Thread line of clothes and accessories, and ended up getting two pairs of shoes from it. The open toe pair is so comfortable and the mules are so trendy.
The tassel earrings are 20% off now online (I got them 50% off in store) and I am obsessed with how lightweight they are! I have a set of orange beaded tassel earrings that are so heavy I can’t wear them all day– these are no problem. And naturally I couldn’t decide on just one color.
Open toe sandals also available in black. Woven mules also available in black and a mixed colorway. Earrings also available in cobalt, pink, mint, and blue.
Anthropologie
Raw Hem Shirtdress (Size: S)
I promise this looks better in real life than in the photo. And of course when I iron out the wrinkles it will look even better.
Like I said, Anthro is pricier than my usual stores, but their pieces are always so unique and great quality. This dress will be good with flats or wedges. The buttons start a little low on the dress so for me a camisole is necessary.
Also available in light chambray.
Obviously my US shopping spree was everything I thought it would be and more! I’d love to hear what you’ve picked up from your fave stores for the spring and summer, too.
