Did you guys know I’ve been thrifting a lot lately? Like, A LOT. Like, every Saturday for the past 4 weeks. I happened to find a really great thrift store (it’s called arc if you’re in Colorado, and their proceeds go towards helping those with disabilities) that does 50% off most of their tags on Saturdays. I love a deal, and I love a deal on a deal, and I think they happen to have a lot of great stuff. Like this lace sleeve blouse.
It’s from the brand philosophy and you can actually still find it available in petites (and under $17)! And do you want to know how much I paid for it? $4.
I was drawn to this top because I feel like it can work for so many different occasions. I styled it casually here with mom-ish style jeans, heels, and statement earrings, but you could tuck it into a pencil skirt for work, or style it with a floral midi skirt for Easter, or wear it with leggings to work out. Okay, obviously I’m joking about the last part, but it’s true that this top is so versatile!
I wish I applied that line of versatile thinking to all of my purchases, but I don’t always have so much self control! But the point of thrifting isn’t just to find cheap stuff, it’s to find super affordable stuff I actually like and fits into my lifestyle. And I feel like I’ve been pretty good at keeping that in mind so far. I can only think of 3 items out of the 10 or so I’ve purchased so far that I haven’t worn yet.
So far I’ve only bought tops at the thrift store, but I’m going to try and branch out into the skirts, dresses, pants, and jewelry areas as well. If you want to see more of my thrifting excursions follow me on Instagram and check out my Saturday stories. You can see my previous finds in my thrifting highlight, too.
I’d love to hear if you guys thrift and what some of your great finds are! I’ve seen a lot of nice cashmere sweaters and even a Gucci purse, but nothing luxury has made it home with me yet. Maybe one day!
