I haven’t posted on Countdown to Friday in a long time…and it’s because I really haven’t been inspired to talk about style and travel in the way I used to.
I talked about it in this post from over a year ago, but traditional fashion blogging really took a turn for me where I just was over it.
And after not posting in a long time and finding a new passion, I’ve decided to shift things a bit on Countdown to Friday.

If you follow me on Instagram you know that I have become thrifting obsessed over the last year. Like, OBSESSED.
There are so many reasons that secondhand fashion has spoken to me. It’s affordable (which I have always been all about), better for the environment, and can be way more creative than traditional retail markets. Never knowing what you’re going to find and the thrill of the hunt is a fun aspect as well! One of my goals this year is to spend less than $300 on retail clothing, and buy all the rest secondhand.
And truly the feedback I’ve gotten from sharing thrifted finds on Instagram has been amazing! So many of you have messaged me saying you love seeing what there is out there to buy secondhand, and it has inspired you to thrift as well. That’s one of the best parts about this!
I’ve discussed starting my Poshmark closet in this post, and thrifiting is the main way I source for my closet. So besides secondhand style, reselling has become a big part of my life. I love being able to earn a little extra money doing something that I really enjoy.
So with all that being said, I am not going through a total re-brand, but instead a shift on Countdown to Friday. Instead of “a weekly style and travel file” it’s “a secondhand style and travel file” where I’ll share thrifted fashion, reseller life, and some of my travels.
While I haven’t been doing as much traveling as I used to when I lived in Germany, I’ve still had fun exploring Colorado and I’d like to share that here.

The kind of posts you can expect around CTF now will be styling a thrifted item multiple ways, or BOLO (be on the lookout) brands when reselling, or my favorite coffee shops in Colorado Springs (it’s been a long time coming!). Oh, and of course, lots of Rascal 🙂
I plan to take it easy and post as long as it’s something that makes me happy – so maybe once a week or so to start. As always, if you have any specific requests for things related to thrift style, reselling, or fun in Colorado let me know!
