MailChimp. Our newsletter, email updates, marketing campaigns and mailing subscription is provided by a 3rd party company called MailChimp. Unless you explicitly gave us permission to email you for our newsletter or marketing purposes we will not use your email address to contact you.
If you subscribed for our newsletter or marketing material we may contact based on the information you signed up for.
If you provided us with your name, it is used only to personalize and address our emails.
All our subscriptions are double opt in and meet GDPR requirements.
We will not offer any hidden promotions in order to trick you to sign up for our mailing list. It is our goal to be transparent about what you are signing up for.
It is your right to opt out of our subscription list at any time. You can do this at the bottom of any of our emails you can you email countdowntofridayblog@gmail.com and ask to be taken off our mailing list. Once you opt out, you are permanently removed from our mailing list along with your data.
Google Analytics.We use Google Analytics to track our traffic and website statistics. They may receive anonymous aggregated information such as your location, how you landed on our site, links clicked, you long you stayed on our site and other statistics.

SiteGround. SiteGround is our hosting platform. They may receive your IP address, cookie information and any data they need to ensure our website is visible and running to the public.
WordPress. WordPress is the company we use to create our online website. They may receive analytics data from you, such as your IP address, your name, and email.
Sumo. Sumo is the company we use so you can share our articles. They collect data on what social media platforms you are sharing our posts.
Akismet. Akismet is an anti-spam service. The information they collect typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
Disqus. We utilize the Disqus comment sharing platform. They collect information such as name and email.
How long we retain your data
We do not keep your information any longer than we have to. Information such as your name on public comments or your name and email in our mailing list may remain as long as Countdown to Friday is online or until you ask for it to be removed. Much of the data we collect is sent to be processed by our third-party companies. Please review their privacy policy for more details.
What rights you have over your data
You have the right to know how your data is used and collected. If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
