I always thought that low heel black booties kind of looked like man shoes. Trendy, rock star man shoes. Like ones that Jack White from the White Stripes would wear? Which is why I was hesitant to pick up a pair. Not that he doesn’t look awesome in them, but I just didn’t think the trend was for me. But after warming up to them and pinning some good inspiration, I decided to give it a shot.

Because I was a little shaky on this trend to begin with, I wasn’t down to fork over a ton of money for these little black booties. So naturally I turned to my budget friendly and fast shipping favorite, Amazon. I chose this pair here that has several different leather and suede options. They’re sleek and simple and I decided to keep the outfit that way with an olive button down and black accessories. It’s not my usual feminine look, but I really like it!
I feel like this style of shoe is great for the weather right now, when it’s not cold enough for knee boots, but not warm enough for open toe shoes or flats. And the low heel is way more wearable than some of my wedge booties.
I actually did something pretty risky with these babies. They went through a little trial by fire by being broken in on a day trip to Oktoberfest. My toes did start to get a little sore, but that was after walking over 10,000 steps! It was a rainy day and I knew these booties would keep my feet dry and be easy to wipe off if they got a little dirty at the fest. If you missed my Instagram story from Sunday, here are a few shots of the day at Oktoberfest.
We had a really great time and it was awesome to meet up with an old friend there! And my shoe choice was on point 😉
