Isn’t this the ultimate weekending outfit? Comfy, casual, and and kinda trendy since athleisure is such a thing? I wore this the other weekend to stroll through a parade called Fasching in Germany. It’s somewhat similar to Mardi Gras, where towns have big parades with floats, and everyone is dressed up in costumes similar to Halloween. It’s a time for people to let loose and have fun before Lent starts.
I wanted to be warm during the parade and also keep my feet from feeling sore, so I chose a puffer jacket and sneakers for the occasion. Practical and cute!
I used to never be such a casual gal, but times are changing. I now own four pairs of sneakers that I wear outside the gym! Two I would say are strictly fashion sneakers, including this olive pair here, and two are what I wear for cross training (the Asics Gel Sana and these Reeboks). I have been packing a pair for travel lately and like to wear them in the car or on the airplane during transit, and then when walking around a city all day. Happy feet, happy travels 🙂
And something came over me this season to order a sporty puffer jacket. I already ventured into puffer vest territory earlier in the year, so the jacket was bound to happen soon. The one I’m wearing from Gap Factory is already sold out, but with winter ending you can pick one up for a great price (like this one from Gap that also comes in olive) that will last you through spring.
I just got back from a long weekend of skiing in the Dolomites so you can expect a travel style and travel post about my adventures soon!
