Yes, it may still be 90+ degrees everyday with over 70% humidity, but I am ready for fall clothes! Shopping those Labor Day sales this past weekend REALLY got me excited for boots and scarves and sweaters.
But since it’s still too hot for all of that, I’ll have to settle for simply adding fall colors to my wardrobe at this point. Like this olive faux wrap knot top (which is BOGO half off right now). Olive is one of my favorite colors no matter the season, but it seems even more appropriate when getting ready for autumn.
I generally wouldn’t think that tying a knot right in front of your stomach is a good idea, but this top really does wonders. The faux-wrap style is super flattering, and the tie I think is quite slimming. I sized up since the tight ribbing of the fabric can be too clingy for me sometimes, and it worked perfectly.
Besides fall colors in my clothing, I’ve also been really into this velvety lipstick in “Red-Storative Effects.” The deep red shade is super rich and reminds me of leaves changing color. Seriously, Virginia, can we start with that already?
Virginians are serious about fall, especially around Skyline Drive, and parks release fall foliage reports weekly once leaves start to change so people know where to enjoy the colors!
This is the second color I have from this line of lipsticks and I’m super impressed with the longevity and formula. Even though it’s not glossy it doesn’t dry your lips out and the shades are so pretty.
So even though it still feels like summer you’re going to be seeing me in olive, mustard, brown, deep red, and all the other pretty autumn colors, both in my clothes and in my makeup!
