I always call myself an affordable fashion blogger because, well, I don’t think you have to spend a lot to look good. And I would say 95% of the time I stand by keeping things on a budget.
Now that other 5% that gets me? It’s when I travel.
Something about vacation just makes you want to splurge, you know? On a fancy dinner, a hotel upgrade, or some pricier fashion.
So when I was strolling around Taormina, Sicily and saw (and loved) this gingham dress in the window of United Colors of Benetton, I went for it despite the 59.95€ ($84) price tag. I knew I would be able to wear it during the trip then and even later back in Germany.
But you don’t have to pay a lot for cute gingham dresses. I styled a red OTS gingham dress earlier in the season (which is only $22.50 right now), and I rounded up a bunch of cute picks all under $45 in the widget below.
This dress is actually all rolled up and packed away in a suitcase right now. We’re getting ready to leave Germany and will be living out of our packed bags until all of our stuff is shipped to the US.
I made sure to pack a lot of breezy dresses, comfy shorts, and OTS tops for summer in Virginia. It’s going to be hot, hot, hot and humid, humid, humid compared to Germany!
