HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I just got home yesterday from ringing in the New Year in Bratislava, which was a blast! Over the holidays I took a step back from the blog to spend time with family and recharge, and now I’m ready to get back to CTF 🙂
The first order of business is recapping the best of 2017. Today we’re talking fashion, and next week we’ll talk travel.
With fashion making up the majority of my posts, I was interested to see whether work outfits, weekend wear, travel style, or even workout clothes were the most popular. I have to be honest, the #1 reader fave did surprise me a bit!
So without further ado, here are the top 5 CTF fashion posts of 2017, along with updated outfit details.
This post was all about my love for Amazon, NOT Nordstrom! It can get pretty annoying to be overwhelmed with blogger posts about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so I decided to stick to one of my faves on Prime Day.
I ordered this pretty ruffle pencil skirt from Amazon and it’s a polished addition to your work wardrobe. And if you’re worried about it being too frilly, pairing it with a simple button down keeps it professional.
I’m sad to say most of these have been put on the back burner as I changed jobs a few months ago to a more casual setting, but they’re still great picks!
And I actually wore the first shoe in this lineup, the Steve Madden Vassie Pump, for NYE since the block heel and low height made it easy to walk all around the city without aching feet.
#Sorrynotsorry, but I just ordered this criss cross top yesterday in another color! When I was putting together this post I saw the low price and had to get on it.
I’ve worn this top backwards and forwards, and for work and weekend. The most popular way I’ve worn it though is with boyfriend jeans and slides. Even though the top is affordable it has a nice weight and feel to it. It also comes in few colors!
Another post with a top I’ve worn over and over…I’m noticing a trend here! I like to show how I wear items in different ways so that you can feel good about adding it to your closet if you like it, too.
I think this red bell sleeve top looks more expensive than it is, and it also comes in a few colors.
Seeing this post reminds me of a fashion question I have for you all: What is your opinion on statement necklaces? Is the trend still going strong or is it sooo 2017? Let me know in the comments!
Interestingly enough, the most popular post of the year was about fashion blogging.
When I talk with people about Countdown to Friday, they have a lot of questions about how the blog works and why certain things are the way they are. I wondered the same things before I became a blogger!
Blogging in general and fashion blogging in particular is it’s own little world, and sharing your style with the world probably isn’t what you think it is.
I will definitely be doing a Part 2 of this post in 2018, and let me know what other questions you have about fashion blogging so I can include them!
Happy 2018 ♥
