So this post was supposed to go up on Tuesday, but after visiting the states for the first time in over 2 years (OMG), I was suffering hard core from jet lag…and sleeping with my dog won out over working on this blog post.
But I have no regrets! I had a blast in Chicago with some great friends I haven’t seen in awhile, and I got my Chipotle fix while I was at it 😉
Now let’s talk clothes! If you’re a regular CTF reader you should know that this criss cross tee is a favorite of mine. I’ve worn it to work and backwards with boyfriend jeans, and for the price it’s just a great basic. It’s a heavier weight than your average tee so it dresses up really easily, but also looks perfect with frayed jeans.
As much as I love a great basic, the real star of this show is the fabulous footwear. I went to Primark for the first time last month and had to have these embroidered mules the moment I saw them. In addition to many other inexpensive and trendy things there!
If you haven’t heard of Primark, it’s kind of like a bigger, cheaper H&M that also sells a lot of other random things, from coffee cups to face wipes. Not going to lie, the store can be a bit overwhelming, but I paid somewhere around $10 for these shoes so it was worth a little shopper’s anxiety.
Embroidery and mules really are some of the biggest trends right now, so just wearing these shoes makes any old outfit in your closet look instantly now. And if you’re suffering from a warm fall season then no need to worry. These shoes are perfect to wear in that kind of weather.
Unfortunately I couldn’t find my embroidered mules on the Primark website, but you might be able to find them in store. If not, the below pair is really similar and comes in a few colors, too.
Enjoy the rest of the week!
