There are some things that I have a hard time finding for a decent price on Amazon. Blazers, for example, or quality maxi dresses (haven’t given up yet, though). But one thing I never have a problem finding on Amazon is swimsuits. It’s hands down the best place for the huge selection, low prices, and fast shipping on many options. I used to be a diehard Target lover for swimsuits, but times have changed.
I already did one swimsuit review back in February, but with so many great one pieces it was time for round two. I was only supposed to keep one of these options, but I ended up loving and keeping two!
P.S. You don’t have to be a blogger to get one of these wordy sunhats…get the “Do Not Disturb” one pictured above to go with your new one piece 😉
Even though this one piece is a little racier than most, I had to give it a try based on the great reviews it had. And it did turn out to be surprisingly great quality for the price! The black and white detail keeps it from being too boring, and even though it has a low V in front it provides a good amount of coverage in the back.
There is some padding in the chest, but I was a little too worried about falling out of this one if I actually wore it swimming. I feel like this one was made for women with a shorter torso, and mine was just a little too long for that.
This suit would look great worn as a bodysuit so you could get even more use out of it. I was thisclose to keeping this one, but seeing as I could only wear it poolside I had to return it. Wearing a medium for reference.
You know me, I can’t get enough of ruffles. So this OTS suit was an obvious choice. I haven’t seen a pattern like this before and I was really drawn to it. I actually ordered this suit in two prints, the lattice pattern and the pineapple one further down in the post.
This suit is one of my favorites. It has light removable padding in the chest and it has enough length for longer torsos. The straps are removable and can also be crossed in the back for a slightly different look. I think we can all agree that removable straps are clutch nowadays for making sure you don’t get tan lines.
This one ended up getting returned since I liked others more, but I highly recommend it! Wearing a medium for reference.
I think this black keyhole suit is the only one I ordered that didn’t come from China. But that doesn’t mean it was pricey. Out of all of them it was probably the best quality.
I know a lot of women gravitate towards black suits, but it’s nice when they have a few extra details to make them more interesting. The keyhole and ruching on the sides is nice, and everything felt really secure, unlike the first suit in the review.
Ultimately I just don’t feel like this one did anything for me, but I think on someone else it would be a great classic suit to have. Wearing a small for reference.
As if there aren’t enough lemon and watermelon prints out there right now, now here’s the cutest pineapple print suit. After my first swimsuit review I contemplated ordering this pineapple high-waisted two piece, but I’m glad I held out for this OTS one.
This one is the same as the lattice print one above, so I love that it works for a longer torso, has removable padding, and adjustable straps. You can actually take the straps off completely and wear it strapless. It also comes in a few other cute prints.
This was one of the two I kept. Wearing a medium for reference.
This black and white strapless suit is probably the worst of the six for me. It doesn’t hit my body in the right places, which sucks because I think it will be super flattering on the right person.
You need a shorter torso for this suit for sure, and you should size up at least by one, maybe two sizes. I’m wearing a medium for reference, but maybe a large would have fit better. It comes with a white and a black strap to make the suit as a halter, but it felt pretty flimsy.
Also the white seemed a bit see through with the black seams showing through. The image on Amazon made the suit appear much higher quality than it is in real life.
I’m not normally a fan of chevron, but the retro shape of this black and white suit along with the great reviews made me put it in my cart. And I’m so glad I did because it ended up being one of the ones I kept!
The black seams and molded cups on this one make it quite sturdy, and I love that the waist actually hits me at my real waist. The straps are removable, too. This suit is definitely best for smaller chested women with small to average torsos length. It’s available with white seams instead of black as well.
I’m really excited to wear this one since it’s cute but also functional for actually swimming. And of course it was in my budget!
I hope this swimsuit review was helpful for you in getting ready for your next pool trip or beach vacation!
